Last week, we started soccer practice! We tried this when you were about eighteen months old, but it was too difficult for you at that point to be able to follow instructions, share, and even comprehend what a coach was telling you. Now that you are two and can better understand what people are asking of you, we thought we'd try again. Plus, this new class is outdoors on a real soccer field in the evening. It was great! I was truly impressed with the program and even more impressed with you and Arley!

I asked our friends, The Yebras, if they wanted to join us since Arley had recently started taking an interest in soccer and it would be a nice break in the middle of our work week to get together. Here y'all are taking a water break. The cuteness is killing me.

You started off practice with stretching.

Then you practiced stopping the ball, which is something you and Daddy do quite often.

I was amazed with how well you followed instructions from your coach. Here you are standing on your "boo circle". Look at Arley standing on hers!

You worked on scoring a goal,

placing cones, kicking them down,

and picking them back up with your feet.

You chased a hula hoop and kicked it.

You completed an obstacle course with Mimi. It was so nice to have her there to help me with some of the activities (it's a parent participation class but Daddy coaches on Wednesday nights). She also took a lot of these pictures!

You had the time of your life!
At the end, your team huddled up for some cheering and a soccer ball stamp.

At the end of practice, you and Arley walked out hand in hand chatting away.

Here is a pic of the soccer moms! I look forward to this special time with you each week for the next eight weeks!

Riley had lots of fun at soccer tots, I know you guys will too!
