A Day Out With Thomas

We had a wonderful weekend in Horseshoe Bay and Burnet, TX! We have been planning our little trip to the Day Out With Thomas Event for a long while and it did not disappoint! We spent Saturday afternoon/night in Horseshoe Bay because it is so close to Burnet and we had a 9:20 AM train to catch on Sunday morning!

On the way up there, you showed us your new trick - eating with your toes. Oh, boys. I am sure I have plenty more of this to look forward to. I actually had to hand it to you for being so creative.

We spent the afternoon at the "beach" - The Marriot at Horsehoe Bay Resort. We have come here with you several times, and we love it each time! Mimi and Joan were with us! We all enjoyed a few hours of swimming and a nice dinner by the pool.

The next morning, we woke up early to head to Burnet, TX to see Thomas the Train. You were so excited! You kept saying you were going to ride Thomas and you would get so excited and laugh each time you thought about it. Get ready for an overload of pictures from the day in no particular order. My computer likes to do what it wants.

They had a lot of fun things to do at the event. You played with the trains,
picked out a Henry tatoo,

and this was your priceless face as you watched Thomas pull up into the station.

Finally, you realized who it was and yelled over and over, "It's THOMAS! Hi Thomas" Your excitement made me tear up a little.

It took a while before Thomas actually took off and you were getting pretty anxious to get moving.

You even took a little rest before we started moving.

We left the station and you loved looking out the window the whole time. We saw fields, cows, and junkyards. ha!

A real "brakemaster" came by to punch our tickets.

Mimi and Joan enjoyed the ride too!

As much as you love Thomas, you didn't care too much about taking pictures with him. It took MANY attempts.
Even though you didn't pose for this picture, I thought it turned out so cute.

We caught Thomas leaving, so we ran over to wave goodbye.

We walked around a little bit more. You loved this jumpy sliding train. You went through the maze about five times with a whole bunch of other kids. I was nervous but you did great! I thought you were such a big boy.

We had a great day with Thomas and Friends!
