Old House

We said goodbye to our/your first home tonight. It was easy to pack up the house, with all the excitement of starting a new adventure and building a new home.

But tonight, as I stood in the doorway of your bedroom, I cried .... a lot. I couldn't help but picture the middle of the nights early on in your life when I rocked you in the corner to put you back to sleep. I imagined you standing in your crib under your name plastered to the wall screeching hi at us in the mornings. I pictured you running from your bathtub to the living room and back again after bath time. We just have so many wonderful memories in this home that it is hard to let go.

I know that you have many memories of this home on videos and in pictures. I hope that maybe you will be able to remember a little bit of it someday through those.

We loved every minute here with you!
